advocacy and leadership

“As a candidate for the Assembly of
First Nations National Chief, a role I
have prepared through years of
advocacy and leadership. As the
former Chief of Ermineskin Cree
Nation, Treaty 6 Grand Chief and the
AFN Regional Chief for Alberta, I
have championed our sovereignty
and prosperity.

Leadership is about weaving a strong
fabric of community that includes the
wisdom of all socio-economic
backgrounds, honouring the legacy
of our ancestors since the advent of
external settler cultures. My journey
has been charted with the invaluable
guidance of my teachers and the
deep-rooted knowledge of our
Elders, whose influences permeate
every decision I make.”
